Sweet Dreams

So last night I dreamed I was visiting a friend. Once I got to her house I realized that she lived in the house my Granny and Grandpa lived in when I was a child. It had been updated and added onto so much that it was nearly unrecognizable. But when I went down into the basement my grandpa's chair was still there. I grabbed a blanket and curled up in it and fell asleep. I miss my Grandpa!

Thankful Thursday

I have been a bit under the weather this week with the usual fall, change-of-the-weather, cold symptoms.  So this week I am particularly thankful for:
1. Puff plus with lotion tissues
2. Purell hand sanitizer
3. Whitehouse apple juice
4. Chick-Fil-A chicken noodle soup
5. a job that I can do from my bed!

I'm also very thankful for my big yeller dog who always makes me smile and my husband who is taking great care of me and brings me whatever I need :)

U is for Upstate SC

Recently Danny and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. We went to Upstate SC for the weekend and stayed at the Garden House Bed and Breakfast in Simpsonville, SC, just outside of Greenville.

We spent some time exploring Downtown Greenville and walking through Falls Park on the Reedy.

We enjoyed a great breakfast each morning at the B&B.  Saturday we drove around the upstate exploring old bridges and waterfalls.

That afternoon we had a yummy lunch at Aunt Sue's Kountry Kitchen in Pumpkintown, SC.

Satuday evening we went back to downtown Greenville for a carriage ride and for some dessert.

I fell in love with Upstate SC...I want to live there someday!

P is for Puzzle

I love working puzzles! My favorites are the 1000-piece hometown collection that walmart sells or ones similar to that. These types of puzzles are more conducive to my method of working which is to pick a random piece one at a time and put it about where it goes. It looks like a mess now but it'll be neatly finished in a couple more hours!
