T is for Thunder Dog

I just started reading this book: Thunder Dog by Michael Hingson.  It's a about a Blind man and his Guide Dog and how they escaped survived from the 78th floor of the North Tower on 9/11.  I'm finding it hard to put the book down.  I'm intrigued by survivor stories of 9/11, but I also love dogs and have always been fascinated with service dogs.  In fact, all my life I have always wanted to work with guide dogs or train the puppies (but I fear that I would probably find it too difficult to let them go once my job was done and it was time for them to find their partner).  At any rate, I'm thoroughly enjoying reading this book!
